The sheer mention of a ‘marketing plan’ can seem daunting to so many! Does the idea of a social media content creation session fill you with dread?
I’m here to tell you that a clear communication structure does not need to be complicated to be successful.
Here are three simple ways to create great content that showcases your expertise and is genuinely insightful for your community.
I’ve shared some thought-starter topics and included some practical examples of how to apply the topic to a content format. Use these as examples to start your own planning process.
Your next Monday morning scheduling session is going to be a breeze!
This is an opportunity to think about what your client needs, and prove to them that you have the skills and knowledge to support them.
For example, your client’s goal might be to feel more confident. You can then mindmap the ways that you have built your own confidence, and share these insights via different content formats. For example:
A blog post entitled ‘3 ways to boost your confidence’
A chatty Instagram story on the subject of ‘How to feel more confident today’
And an email newsletter with the subject of ‘My top tips for confident decision making’.
If you notice a common struggle within your client base, recognise it. Even the act of recognising a common issue is powerful. It aids your community to feel seen. Then, help to solve the struggle:
An inspirational Instagram post using a graphic to share a quote about believing in themselves (use Canva to create bespoke graphics for your brand).
Write a Twitter thread on the subject of ‘Things I do to work on my self-doubt and imposter syndrome
Create a Pinterest pin about ‘How to reframe self-doubt’
Seriously, just reach out and ask. Whether that be by an Instagram poll, email survey, or just directly asking some of your trusted clients and friends. Ask, and then listen well.
Perhaps they want tangible tools to support their growth. Via your content you could offer:
In an Instagram carousel, share ‘5 things to do when X’
An Instagram live with a fellow industry expert with relevant life experience discussing ‘Turning your X into your superpower via Y’
In an Instagram reel showing ‘How to stop feeling X’
The secret to your content can be pretty simple.
It’s all about your audience and dream clients. Aiding, valuing, and supporting them. Tune in your content to be about them and witness the results!
